Roosevelt Jazz Band 1 was awarded first place at the Feb 8 2014 Bellevue College Big Band Jazz Festival.  Sadly, the evening concert was canceled due to snow.

RJB Lead Trumpet John Otten Selected for 2014 Grammy Band

Congratulations to our own John Otten for his selection as a member of the  2014 Grammy Jazz Band!   (Read the full press release here).

John is the only student from Washington State to make the band. This is a tremendous accomplishment and we are VERY proud! Thanks to everyone who assisted John in making his successful audition recording as well. 

Roosevelt Jazz Band director Scott Brown says: “John Otten has been a dedicated and hard working leader in our Jazz Program for four years. He’s an outstanding trumpet player. We’re all super-proud of John for making the 2014 Grammy Band!”
